Matthew 22:37
What drives your actions and decisions? In today’s story, Jesus is confronted by the Pharisees who, in an attempt to trap Him, ask which commandment in the law is the greatest. Jesus’ response is simple yet profound: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.” He then adds, “And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” With these words, Jesus reveals that love is the foundation of all the commandments. Loving God with everything we have leads us to naturally love others as well. Are your actions rooted in love? Reflect on how you can align your life with these two greatest commandments. Let this teaching inspire you to deepen your love for God and extend that love to those around you.
