1 Corinthians 14:33
Have you ever felt distracted or sidelined by something out of your control? Paul and Silas faced this with a possessed girl in Philippi, whose cries disrupted their work for days. In compassion, Paul commands the demon to leave her, liberating the girl but enraging her owners who profited from her bondage. As a result, Paul and Silas are falsely accused, beaten, and imprisoned. Yet, even in chains, they do not despair. Their faith in God’s plan remains strong, revealing that freedom in Christ is not about circumstance but about our response to it. Where in your life are you letting distractions rob you of peace? Instead of focusing on obstacles, look to God’s presence as your anchor. Like Paul and Silas, we can find joy and purpose in every season, even when it feels like everything is going wrong.
